ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Coordinates all aspects of the IEP management software program;
  2. Assists the Director of Special Education with all aspects of fiscal management;
  3. Coordinates and maintains all SPED contracted services (therapists, SLPs, etc.);
  4. Coordinates Extended School Year programming;
  5. Mentors and trains new SPED employees;
  6. General supervision of school psychologists, SLPs, and facilitating teachers, as well as itinerant, district-wide SPED staff;
  7. Assists in coordinating professional development for SPED employees;
  8. Addresses parent, student, teacher, and administrator questions and needs and attends IEP meetings as appropriate;
  9. Assists in preparing all required state and federal reports;
  10. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Valid Tennessee teacher's license with appropriate endorsement;
  2. Strong written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills;
  3. Possesses a valid driver's license and have access to dependable transportation; and
  4. Meets health and physical qualifications.
